Sean Penn caused a stir when he joined Nicole Kidman for a party to celebrate the premiere of their new movie, The Interpreter, at the newly refurbished Museum of Modern Art in New York.

They might have been surrounded by works of priceless art – and a no smoking sign – but Penn was not going to allow that to stop him having a smoke.

“It was absolutely disgusting,” on party-goer told the New York Post. “He smoked the entire thing.”
