Santana song snubbed by Sting and Sheryl

Latin star Carlos Santana has been taken aback as Sting and Sheryl Crow have both refused to take part in the guitarist's new duets album.

The star had invited the two superstars to join him on his new project but both declined without giving him a reason.

Santana says: "I don't know why Sting and Sheryl Crow didn't want to work with me, but I'm not going to take it personally."

Colombian pop star Shakira is another invited no-show - she declined to record a vocal for the album because she's too busy.
