Singer Christina Milian was determined to retain her individuality by wearing unusual clothes to school despite claiming her outlandish dress sense made her the victim of bullying.

The star says she was prepared to suffer taunts and loneliness during her childhood because she valued her unique style more than friendship.

The 23-year-old said: "I sometimes wore my pyjamas. I didn't care about what people thought of me."
