Glam rockers The Darkness have warned fans they are planning to cut back on live performances now they've made their name.

The band quickly attracted a massive fanbase through an exhaustive concert schedule that continued when they promoted their debut album Permission To Land.

Now the band are keen to sit back and relax a little more - and aren't even sure they will hit the road to push their upcoming follow-up LP.

Frontman Justin Hawkins said: "Things have changed now. A lot of relentless touring was to make people aware of us when they wouldn't have heard us on the radio.

"It's a very different game when you are in our position. There's a feverish anticipation. We're concentrating on the album. We're not going to do any live stuff until it's out and then we'll see."
