Christie clings to top of charts

Seventies crooner Tony Christie and comic Peter Kay clung to the top spot in UK singles chart.

Their Comic Relief remake of the 1971 classic, Is This The Way to Amarillo?, remained at number one for the fourth week.

But Christie was not so lucky in the album chart – his Definitive Collection was knocked off the top spot by Natalie Imbruglia’s new entry, Counting Down The Days.
