Oxegen dance stage line-up confirmed
By Ken Rooney
MCD have announced the completed line-up for the dance stage at this year’s Oxegen festival at Punchestown Racecourse.
In a departure from previous festivals, 2005 will see house music DJs headline this section of the event. Ibiza legend Erick Morillo is set to top the bill at Saturday’s Dance Stage, with the Deep Dish bringing Sunday’s event to a close.
Continuing the house music theme, prolific Cork production duo Fish Go Deep enjoy the highest billing of the Irish dance acts over the two days. Other Irish acts confirmed for the festival include hip-hop DJ Frank Jez, as well as Scott McNaughton, Al Gibbs and Hugh Scully.
They will be joining an impressive array of international bands and DJs set to grace the Dance Arena including Death in Vegas, Two Lone Swordsmen, Slam, Silicone Soul and acclaimed Scottish producer Mylo.
Following the success of Wu Tang Clan at last year’s event, rap superstar Snoop Dogg has also recently been confirmed to perform at the festival. Kaiser Chiefs and Jimmy Eats World have also been added as the overall festival line-up rapidly nears completion.
