A New York judge is tired of Liza Minnelli and David Gest’s “whiny garbage”, and has warned both sides to stop their petty bickering.

Justice Jane Solomon, presiding over Gest’s €8m lawsuit against his estranged wife, described the constant finger-pointing as “ridiculous”.

“There is all this garbage, it’s undignified, it’s unprofessional and it will stop,” she told the pair’s lawyers at Manhattan Supreme Court.

Gest claims Minnelli caused him permanent head injuries by abusing him during drunken rages.

But in a countersuit, Minnelli accuses Gest of manipulation, stealing her concert money and trying to fire her staff.

The pair, who married in March 2002, have filed for divorce.
