Hot-tempered Chili Peppers lashes out

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis became involved in a fracas with eight security guards when he was barred from going backstage after Jenni Kayne's fashion show in Los Angeles last week.

The Under the Bridge star wanted to congratulate the designer, but was disappointed to learn that no-one was permitted backstage until the valuable Martin Katz jewels featured in the show were collected from the models.

The safety of the jewels took precedence over rock star well-wishers, but Kiedis lost his temper with the burly security guards.

An onlooker tells page.six: "He pushed a very large security guard and ripped his pants.

"It took eight security men to hold him down."
