A load of ill-judged rubbish this. A naff film that takes itself, with no obvious reason, too seriously.

It's a low-rate sort-of, but never comes close, horror mystery in which a family moves to an old house in the Spanish countryside and is beset by upsetting problems: the electricity keeps failing, dad goes bonkers, the directing is laughable and the writing leaves a bewildered-looking cast in the dark.

It's one of those films - in spite of having the usually reliable Paquin, Glen and Olin in it - that makes you wonder why anybody - stand up the guilty party - thought it worth spending money on making.
