Break-a-leg stage proverb comes true for Applegate

Christina Applegate has been forced out of the Boston tryout of the Broadway-bound revival of Sweet Charity, after breaking her foot during a performance in Chicago.

Applegate is expected to return to the musical by the time it starts preview performances in April in New York City, said John Barlow, a spokesman for the show. The musical is scheduled to open on April 21 at the Big Apple's Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
