Jackson excited by Lovely Bones adaptation

Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson is excited by the challenge of adapting Alice Sebold's novel The Lovely Bones for the big screen, because he knows it will be unlike anything he's attempted before.

Jackson is relishing a return to gritty drama after working on fantasy movies - the Lord of the Rings trilogy and forthcoming remake King Kong - for years.
