Fonda faces hip replacement op

Veteran screen goddess Jane Fonda is waiting to undergo a hip-replacement operation, a US gossip site has claimed.

The Barbarella beauty, aged 67, will go under the knife in the coming weeks - forcing her to miss a 50th reunion at her old school in Troy, New York State.

A source told gossip site The Scoop: "She sent a letter to a boarding school she attended in Troy, New York, saying she couldn't attend the 50th reunion because she's getting a new hip."
