Gibson makes secret deal with neighbours

Mel Gibson has sold his 45,000-acre Beartooth Ranch in Montana to his neighbours - and sworn them to secrecy on the price.

The actor and director bought the ranch in 1988, and couple Kent and Pam Williams own the adjoining 2,000-acre ranch.

Kent Williams says: "Pam and I were worried that, if (Gibson's ranch) got in the wrong hands, the valley would be subdivided and split up.

"We shared an awful lot of fence. He's been a real good neighbour."
