We don’t need another Hero

A strong cast suggests Hero should deliver in the action stakes, especially with Jet Li, Maggie Cheung and Donnie Yen in the thick of things, but this is no Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Zhang Yimou’s film packs lots of in the air action, more balletic than most, and there are some good action scenes, but it misses the mark.
