American rocker Kid Rock has hit out at TV talent show American Idol for failing to "sign talented people".

The Cocky singer, who was arrested on Wednesday on assault charges after allegedly punching DJ Jay Campos in a Tennessee strip club, has blasted the bosses of the talent contest for recruiting contestants from a "mall".
