Blair to appear on Richard and Judy
Tony Blair is appearing on Richard and Judy – just days after his wife rang the show to say her husband never sends her flowers.
The British Prime Minister is giving a 25-minute interview to the couple on the teatime show tomorrow.
Last week, the Prime Minister’s wife surprised Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan by ringing the Channel 4 programme and saying that she “must have failed“.
“I’ve got myself in a position because if he did buy me flowers, he’d say I was being suspicious,” she said.
The TV hosts were in the middle of an interview with maverick presenter Chris Evans when Mrs Blair called in.
She said her mother had been watching the show and had told her to “show up her son-in-law“.
Richard and Judy had posed the question “Do men send flowers enough?” following Mr Blair’s admission the previous week that he had never sent his wife flowers.
Today Richard and Judy said: “What with the events of the last couple of years and the general election almost certain to happen within three months, we certainly won’t be short of things to talk about.”
