Usher leads Soul Train nominations

R&B star Usher leads the pack of nominees for the 19th annual Soul Train Music Awards after scooping five nods.

The singer's nominations include Best R&B Soul Single and Album (male), Music Video and Dance Cut.

Additionally, My Boo, his duet with Alicia Keys - who has been nominated for three awards - was named in the R&B/Soul Single (group, band, duo) race.

Newcomer Ciara and Beyonce Knowles follow Usher closely behind with four nominations each, although two of Knowles' nods were with her trio, Destiny's Child.

The awards will take place on 28 February at Hollywood's Paramount Pictures lot.
