De Niro leaves own premiere to support wife

Movie legend Robert de Niro walked out of his own premiere on Wednesday to give his singing wife some moral support.

The Goodfellas star, 61, was attending a screening of his latest film Hide and Seek at New York's Beekman cinema, when he suddenly left the theatre.

De Niro rushed over to the Manhattan's West Village Lounge Salon, where his wife Grace Hightower was performing Night and Day for designer Maggie Norris' fashion show The Night They Invented Champagne.

De Niro and Hightower, who have been married since 1997, renewed their wedding vows in November.
