Portia says it with jewellery

Actress Portia De Rossi has given her new girlfriend, chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, a wedding ring.

Apparently it was a present for the former sitcom star's 47th birthday this week. She also bought a matching Tiffany platinum band for herself. A source says: "It signifies their commitment to each other."

Last month Portia had laser treatment to remove the initials FG from her ring finger. She'd had the initials tattooed when she was dating former lesbian lover Francesca Gregorini.

Generous Portia, who played Nellie Porter in Ally McBeal, also bought Ellen an 80s vintage Porsche for Christmas.
