Actress Portia De Rossi has given her new girlfriend, chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, a wedding ring.

Apparently it was a present for the former sitcom star's 47th birthday this week. She also bought a matching Tiffany platinum band for herself. A source says: "It signifies their commitment to each other."
