Superhero cartoon role for Ringo

Ringo Starr is to play a super-powered animated version of himself in a new cartoon series, it emerged today.

The feature will transform the former Beatles drummer into an “evil-battling, earth-saving (though reluctant) superhero with a great sense of rhythm”, according to Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment company.
