Welsh singer Charlotte Church is on the verge of buying her first home and settling down - two years after moving out of her mother's house.

The modest three-bedroom house is situated directly opposite her grandparents' home in a leafy suburb of Cardiff, Wales, and her family hope stability will calm down her partying lifestyle.

If the €321,000 sale goes through, the Voice of an Angel star will share the terraced house with her boyfriend Kyle Johnson. Her mother Maris and stepfather James live nearby.

The 18-year-old, who recently gained access to her €8m fortune, has been renting a flat with 20-year-old Johnson, but is looking for a more stable home environment.

A friend of the family says: "Charlotte has been living like a nomad for the past couple of years and some of the places have not been in good areas.

"Her parents told her she had to think about buying a home instead of living out of a suitcase. And they wanted her to be close to them so they could keep a parental eye on her."
