Chicago producer's money accusations

Chicago producer Marty Richards claims he's still awaiting payment for his work on the film version of the stage musical - even though it raked in more than $304m (€233.2m) at the box office.

Chicago producer Marty Richards claims he's still awaiting payment for his work on the film version of the stage musical - even though it raked in more than $304m (€233.2m) at the box office.

Richards has accused film company Miramax of failing to live up to its promise of a profit-share.

He claims Miramax bosses are asserting the multiple Oscar-winning musical has not yet made a profit, despite costing only $47.5m (€36.4m) to make.

A Miramax spokesperson has dismissed Richards' accusations as "baseless", adding: "We were all proud of the great success of Chicago."
