The X-files to return to big screens

Cult sci-fi series The X-Files is returning to the big screen for one final showdown.

The show's star, David Duchovny, has confirmed he's working with X-Files creator Chris Carter on one more project, which he hopes will be released next year.

Duchovny tells music website MTV.Com: "It'll be a stand-alone horror movie. (The characters) Mulder and Scully investigate one particular case that has nothing to do with alien life. It has to do with supernatural stuff."
