Stewart holds party in cell

Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart made the most of her first and only New Year's Eve behind bars - by hosting a party in her cell.

The domestic queen is currently nearly three months into a five-month jail term at West Virginia's Alderson Federal Prison Camp for lying to investigators about a suspicious stock sale.

On Christmas Day Stewart was entertained by a visiting gospel choir and showed off her dancing skills to her surprised inmates.

Eyewitness Jose Figueroa tells America's People magazine: "I tell you, Martha was getting into it. Martha's got a little funk in her. She was jamming and clapping."

Other sources claim Stewart has become a surrogate mother to many young offenders, telling a new inmate: "If I can do it, you can do it."
