Tory joins attack on BBC over musical

Tory deputy leader Michael Ancram today joined criticism of the BBC for screening the controversial Jerry Springer musical.

Mr Ancram said the BBC had a public duty not to show such offensive programmes and he accused it of trying to shock people into watching.
