Duran Duran drummer blasts Westlife

Duran Duran star Roger Taylor has continued his assault on pop artists old and new - this time slamming boyband Westlife.

The drummer has hailed pop acts like Busted for writing their own tunes but deems the Irish four-piece an unacceptable presence in contemporary music.

He blasted: "I can't stand the way they sit in jumpers just singing ballads. At least with Busted they write their own tunes and have a great vibe.

"Oh no, I am not a Westlife fan at all."
