Kensit to stay in Bo'Selecta spin-off sitcom

Patsy Kensit is teaming up with Bo’Selecta star Leigh Francis in a new sitcom.

Francis – aka Avid Merrion – will play foul-mouthed puppet character The Bear and Kensit will play his mum.

Davina McCall, Sean Pertwee and Yasmin Kerr, Kensit’s stepdaughter by ex-husband Jim Kerr, will also appear.

Kensit told Heat magazine: “Leigh has written this great new show for Channel 4 that’s all about The Bear. It’s a sitcom where he gets adopted by a family and I play the mum,

"Sean Pertwee plays my husband and my stepdaughter in real life, Yasmin Kerr, plays my daughter. Davina McCall is in it too.

“We did a Christmas one-off and we’re going to film the series this year when I’m on a break from Emmerdale. It’s nice to do something which is completely different.”
