Simpson ponders his Busted future

Pop hunk Charlie Simpson has warned his Busted bandmates he may quit the Crashed The Wedding hitmakers at the beginning of the New Year.

The singer reluctantly agreed to remain a member of the chart topping trio after emergency talks with Matt Jay and James Bourne shortly before Christmas.

However, Simpson - wants to dedicate time to his side project band Fightstar in 2005 - told them he'll decide on his future with the boyband over the festive period - and announce his plans on 1 January.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Simpson was eager to combine family festive fun with weighing up his career options, before settling on a definite decision.

A source says: "Charlie was ready to quit last week but the other boys talked him out of it.

"He's since told both the lads and his record label that he'll think it through over Christmas and give them his final answer in January. He's agreed to see how he feels after a short Christmas break."
