Branagh waives fee for documentary
Kenneth Branagh has offered to present a forthcoming documentary on the Nazi death camp Auschwitz for free, after producers ran into monetary problems.
The Northern-Ireland born star and actress Miriam Margolyes have been travelling back and forward from England to the Holocaust landmark in Poland for the programme to mark the 60th anniversary of the camp's liberation.
After the documentary bosses ran into budget problems, Branagh offered to waive his salary and suggest the producers use it for funding the expensive travel costs.
A insider said: "We feared having to call it off. It is typical of Kenneth to do something like this."
