Bassey looks forward to boring Christmas

Singing legend Shirley Bassey is planning a sedate Christmas by cutting down on booze, partying and spending money.

The Welsh diva claims she won't be celebrating the festive period, and will be resting her credit cards in December (04) because she is such a shopaholic the rest of the year.

She says: "I aim not to drink too much, party too much or buy too much 'bling'. In fact, I don't want to buy too much of anything. I have a black belt in spending so I'm going to swap it for a brown one."
