Baby joy for Laura Dern

Actress Laura Dern and musician Ben Harper are the parents of a baby girl, a publicist said today.

The couple’s daughter was born on November 28 at Dern’s Los Angeles home, said her spokeswoman, Cara Tripicchio. A name was not released.

“Everyone’s healthy and happy,” Tripicchio said.

The couple also have a son, Ellery Walker, three, who was born in 2001. Dern, 37, and Harper, 35, are engaged, Tripicchio said.

Dern’s film credits include Rambling Rose, Jurassic Park and Wild at Heart.
