Best of Blues in the Green Room
The best of Irish blues music will be competing in the final of the Irish Blues Challenge, a battle of the blues bands taking place in Dublin next week.
After three rounds of heats the winners are now gearing up for the final on Wednesday December 8 in the Green Room in Dublin.
The overall winner on Wednesday will win a trip to Memphis in February to take part in the final of the International Blues Challenge, a worldwide competition for unsigned blues bands.
Six bands are competing for the prize: The Bleedin Blues, Mud Cat Blues Band, Ben Prevo Band, Parchman Farm, Nigel Mooney and Brian Meakin Band.
The judges on the night are Leslie Dowdall, Jackie Hayden and Charlie Hussey although audience members will also have their say as to the overall winner.
