Live Aid II rumoured for next summer
A Live Aid II concert may take place next summer to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the transatlantic extravaganza.
Organisers Bob Geldof and Midge Ure reunited recently to re-record the Band Aid single 'Do they know it's Christmas?' amid rumours they may also be planning to repeat the gigs that followed in London and Philadelphia, to raise money for famine victims in Ethiopia.
No details have been revealed, but former Queen rocker Brian May - who performed at the original 1985 Live Aid concerts - hints Live Aid II is likely to happen.
He says: "I've had informal discussions about it with Midge Ure and Bob Geldof. If it does happen, it's important that the younger generation takes part."
