Schumacher may regret Phantom choice

Keira Knightley and Katie Holmes were both passed over for the role of Christine in the movie version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom Of The Opera.

But now director Joel Schumacher is reported to have clashed with the mother of his choice for the role, 18-year-old Emmy Rossum, and early buzz on the film suggests the unknown actress may turn out to be the weak link.
