Anthony Hopkins is in negotiations to star in movie remake All The Kings Men.

The Welsh-born actor has been lined up to play the judge in the new version of the 1949 Oscar-winning Best Picture about the rise of a rural politician.

He'll join A-listers Sean Penn, Jude Law and Kate Winslet if he signs up.

The Sopranos star James Gandolfini is also being considered for a role in the film based on

the life of late Louisiana governor Huey Long.
