The 11th annual awards are being hosted by former Buffy actress Sarah Michelle Gellar and hip hop star Xzibit.

The Darkness are up for Best Rock with Good Charlotte, Green Day, Linkin Park and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Beyoncé is up against Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Anastacia and Alicia Keys for Best Female.
Robbie Williams is in competition with Justin Timberlake, Nelly, Usher and Jay-Z for Best Male.
