Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones will play the role of a jilted wife who sets up a nursery school service for the high-fliers of the future, it emerged today.

Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones will play the role of a jilted wife who sets up a nursery school service for the high-fliers of the future, it emerged today.

The Swansea-born actress will star in the movie, the Ivy Chronicles, based on a novel by Karen Quinn, which will be published in February.

Zeta-Jones will play the part of a former Wall Street guru, who loses her job and then her husband to another woman.

She decides to overhaul her life and sets up a Kindergarten referral service to help wealthy New Yorkers put their children on a path to the country’s top schools.

It is one of a number of project that busy Zeta Jones is working on at the moment.

Zeta-Jones has recently been filming for the The Mask of Zorro sequel, Legend of Zorro, and Ocean’s Twelve.

Quinn’s novel will be published in February by Viking Books.
