Stewart loses $780,000 in US court judgement

Singer Rod Stewart must repay $780,000 (€600,000m) he accepted as a deposit for a Latin American concert tour that was cancelled, a US jury has ruled.

The jury on Friday also assessed damages of $1.6m (€1.23m) against Stewart’s lawyers and agents at the ICM talent agency for their roles in negotiating a contract for the tour.
