Law persuaded Twain to take Huckabees role
Country superstar Shania Twain credits Jude Law's powers of persuasion for her decision to make her acting debut in movie I (Heart) Huckabees.
The Man! I Feel Like A Woman! Singer appears as herself in the comedy, which stars Dustin Hoffman, Lily Tomlin, Naomi Watts, Mark Wahlberg and Law.
But Twain only agreed to take on the role when she received a letter from British heart-throb Law.
She says: "I was written into the script before I even knew it. They called me up and said, 'We wanted you to know that you've been written into our script a zillion times. Are you okay with that?'
"Then they asked about using images. I eventually got personal letters from some of the cast, from the director, one of them from Jude Law, saying, 'Would you come and be in this for a few seconds with us? Because you're in the script so much, and we talk about you so much on set, that it would just be so cool if you actually showed up for a second.'
"So I did."
