Reynolds' ex sues

Burt Reynolds’ ex-girlfriend has filed a palimony suit against the movie veteran just a day after he sued her for alleged extortion.

Former barmaid Pamela Seals claims in a new lawsuit, filed yesterday, that the actor requested she "quit her job and move from Florida to California" to live with Reynolds and act as his "companion and homemaker."

In the legal papers obtained by American court show Celebrity Justice, Seals also claims Reynolds promised he would "support and take care of her and her mother in the manner in which they were accustomed to...for the rest of their lives."

She also claims Reynolds repeatedly abused her by "yelling at her, beating and strangling her".

The suit seeks half of all assets accumulated during the relationship, 50 per cent interest in Reynolds' home in Florida and punitive damages.

Reynolds obviously saw the suit coming - he filed an extortion suit against Seals on Monday, claiming she was threatening to wrongfully accuse him of abuse if he didn't agree to pay her a send-off fee after their romance went sour.
