Bedingfield attacks American women

British pop star Daniel Bedingfield has slammed American women for "having something majorly wrong with them".

The Gotta Get Thru' This hitmaker has spent a lot of time stateside recording his latest album Second First Impression, and admits he finds the ladies attractive until he discovers how little they know about current affairs.

He moans: "If only I could find a girl who could keep up with my life. I keep meeting women then find there's something majorly wrong with them. Like girls I've met in America - everything's going great and then I might mention someone like Nelson Mandela and they're like: 'Who is that?'"
