Ellen DeGeneres fears she isn't intelligent enough to help a child with homework, so has no desire to become a mother.

The comedienne, ex-girlfriend of actress Anne Heche, was the focus of a number of reports last week, speculating she and her current partner Alexandra Hedison had plans to adopt a child.
