New Lennon material to be released

Yoko Ono has given permission for previously unreleased recordings by late rocker John Lennon to hit music stores later this year.

The album Acoustic will feature songs taken from Lennon's personal recording archive, including live solo versions of Imagine and Watching the Wheels.

The disc will be released by Capitol Records along with a re-release of Lennon's 1975 LP Rock And Roll. Lennon was tragically killed by crazed fan Mark David Chapman in New York in 1980.
