Doherty banned from club after vandalising art

Ousted Libertines rocker Pete Doherty has been banned from an exclusive London club for destroying a prestigious work of art.

The rocker was performing a charity gig at the capital's Groucho club with his other band Babyshambles when he jumped off the stage and tore a metal sculpture worth $180,000 (€140,000) from the ceiling, leaving it shattered on the ground.
