Beyonce's sister gives birth

Sexy singer Beyonce Knowles is now an aunt, after her younger sister Solange gave birth to a boy last week.

Proud Crazy In Love beauty Beyonce broke her usual stance of protecting her private life to make the announcement at Saturday's star-studded Carousel of Hope fundraiser in Los Angeles.

She told TV network E!: "My sister just had a baby four days ago."

Solange, 18, gave birth to Daniel Julez J Smith on October 18. The baby tipped the scales at 9 pounds, 4 ounces upon his arrival in a Los Angeles hospital.

He is the first child for Solange and her football player husband Daniel Smith, whom she wed in a Bahamas ceremony in February.
