Northern Ireland is rapidly catching up with the Republic as an excellent film location.

Dublin director Neil Jordan, shooting Breakfast on Pluto in Belfast, certainly reckons so and he also praises the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission which has backed the film, along with the Irish Film Board.

Says Jordan: "Dublin's difficulty is Belfast's opportunity. The South has become clogged due to over-performance, and we have found the patience in Northern Ireland refreshing. Belfast is a great place to work ... a very beautiful and interesting city."
