R&B beauty Ashanti has been hit with a lawsuit by a Georgia entertainment company for $4m (£2.2 million) in unpaid royalties.

R&B beauty Ashanti has been hit with a lawsuit by a Georgia entertainment company for $4m (€3.2m) in unpaid royalties.

T.E.A.M. Entertainment claims the Unfoolish singer signed a contract with them when she was 16.

Representatives for Def Jam have declined to comment on the case, while attorneys for Ashanti and T.E.A.M. Entertainment have yet to release statements.
