DMX arraignment adjourned

Hip-hop star DMX's arraignment on a host of drugs and weapons charges has been postponed by a month.

The rapper was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in a Queens County, New York, criminal court, but the hearing has been adjourned until November 17.

The charges stem from a June 24 incident at the Big Apple's John F Kennedy Airport in which the rapper, real name Earl Simmons, and another man were caught allegedly attempting to steal a car.

The charges include criminal possession of a weapon; possession of crack cocaine, oxycodone and diazepam; menacing; driving under the influence; and endangering the welfare of a child.
