Franz Ferdinand to compose Potter music

Franz Ferdinand have been approached to compose music for the next Harry Potter film - and they've been told they may even get a cameo in the movie.

The foursome are delighted to be given the chance to write for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which is currently filming in Scotland and England, and hits cinema screens in November 2005.

Frontman Alex Kapranos said: "We've been asked to write some music…there's an excitement and innocence about those films. I like how there's good and evil, and that's a clarity which is quite refreshing."
