Lil' Kim blasts 'male-dominated' rap industry

Lil' Kim has attacked the rap scene for being "dominated" by male artists and has urged women to fight to make a name for themselves.

The Not Tonight singer was furious after the Source R&B and rap awards, which took place in Miami, Florida, on Sunday, because there was only one female rapper category and it was won by Terror Squad's Remy Ma for her verse in Lean Back.

Meanwhile Kanye West won three awards and was nominated for seven, and Ludacris picked up the biggest gong - artist of the year.

Lil' Kim said: "Unfortunately it's a male-dominated world. It's been like that for years. All you can do it make yourself known and make a spot for yourself as a female."
